Blair's Mission

To inspire and hands-on teach how to maintain the trowel related maintenance items on historic structures to continue the structures longevity. One person, one process one building at a time.

Blairs passion for building restoration and renovation started in 1979 when he graduated from Buffalo State University in Industrial Engineering. Immediately after he was hired to assist in the engineering of restoring an 1800’s Industrial Plant in Niagara Falls New York. After that he never looked back, he found a new love and passion. His new found passion brought him to Michigan for a job with the engineering firm of Walker Parking Consultants/ Restoration Engineers. His work ranged from restoration of concrete to bridges and parking facilities, to stone and masonry with the oldest building he has worked on being built in the 1785. Over the years his passions have settled into the trowel trades in historic preservation, the craftsmanship of restoration and the ability to make historic buildings last for thousands of years where new construction has a one year warranty.

His classes range from individuals to historical groups to restoration companies.
